i'M NOT SURE BUT IT COULD BE A POEM MY FATHER USED TO READ TO ME IN THE 50s. It's about a dog waiting at the gates of Heaven for his master. It starts " Somewhere at the gates of heaven, a little dog angel waits. With the other dogs he will not play as he waits alone at the gates......
