NATIONAL POETRY LIBRARY: If/Then: Brexit Poetics

Date: Wednesday 2 August
Time: 8pm
Price: Free but booking essential
Venue: The National Poetry Library, Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre

Witness a collectively generated and collaboratively written work comprising multiple voices and registers, created just prior to and following the EU referendum of 2016.

If/Then explores the terrain of the dilemma and the social imaginary drawing on myth, philosophy and autobiography

It features written responses by poets, writers and artists alongside on-street vocal recordings in London, Glasgow and Athens. Responses between street, stage and page serve to further illustrate the multiplicity and validity of singular points of view - expanding the slippage between yes and no.

Lisa Alexander and Hari Marini are joined by some of the contributors for this performance/participatory reading.
