Join us for a landmark evening of poetry and friendship in Turkish, Kurdish and English. Celebrated Kurdish poet Bejan Matur and Armenian-Turkish poet Karin Karakasli will read their work alongside award-winning British poets Jen Hadfield and Sarah Howe, before discussing the delicate art of translation with their bridge translator Canan Marasligil.

This event marks the publication of two new Poetry Translation Centre chapbooks: History-Geography by Karin Karakasli (translated by Sarah Howe and Canan Marasligil) and If this is a lament by Bejan Matur (translated by Jen Hadfield and Canan Marasligil).

N.B. This event will be in English with poetry readings in Turkish, Kurdish and English.
