Publicity material for this event says:

Jill Abram presents STABLEMATES at Waterstones Piccadilly on the last Thursday of the month. This month's conversations and poems will be with Martin Figura, Kathleen M Quinlan and Lesley Ingram of Cinnamon Press.

Readings start promptly at 7.30pm. Book in advance by clicking on Event Website, below.

Martin Figura’s first book and show, Whistle, was shortlisted for the Ted Hughes Prize for New Work in Poetry and won the Saboteur Best Spoken Word Show Award. The show of Dr Zeeman’s Catastrophe Machine showcased in London and around Norfolk, where he lives, in 2016 and will be touring the UK this year.

Kathleen M Quinlan was a runner-up in the 2013 Cinnamon Press Poetry Collection Competition, which led to publication of a pamphlet, From We to I, and her first full collection, Moorings. Her upbringing in rural Maine, USA, her travels and her career as a social scientist feature strongly in her poems.

Lesley Ingram’s debut collection, Scumbled was highly commended in the Fledgling Award. Each poem responds to a digital image by Maggie Taylor and they are, according to Sabotage Reviews, “a singular and ambitious series of poems that demonstrates the poet’s talent for rich, memorable imagery and musical language.”

Cinnamon Press is a small, independent publisher run by a family team and based in North Wales. Its books are not defined by genre, but by their unique ability to be thought provoking and to say something new.
